Volunteer and Internship ApplicationWMEAC loves volunteers. You enable WMEAC to do everything we do with your skilled help. We have multiple opportunities for you to make a difference, and have fun while doing it. Please explore the opportunities our organization offers and see where your skills, talents and time could be used for environmental action in West Michigan. Looking for an internship? WMEAC provides activities and projects for professional internships in our organization. Students gain improved skills and experience, a portfolio of professional work, and our deep appreciation for their help. Internships are available by semester or as independent projects. Action ItemsGreat Lakes Great Michigan is a campaign to bring Michigan’s laws in line with the Great Lakes Compact, a regional agreement among the 8 Great Lakes States to preserve, protect and restore our Great Lakes. Take Action! Participate in the campaign at their website. Clean Kent County - Every day an estimated 1 million gallons of untreated waste from toilets and household drains is discharged from Kent County’s failing septic systems.
