Environmental Book Club

May 1 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The WMEAC Book Club meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm. We will continue to meet virtually over Zoom, and the link is sent out before the meeting and not posted publicly. The book club sponspered by Books & Mortar independent bookstore, which offers 10% discount on book club titles when you purchase in-store or order online.

“May the Great Lakes Be with You” Outdoor Education Workshop

Join WMEAC’s education team for a fun Saturday of learning how the Great Lakes resides within us all. This is a FREE workshop for K-12 educators or those who are interested in pursuing environmental education.

We will be exploring the wonderful natural spaces at Ken-O-Sha Park (1353 Van Auken St. Grand Rapids, MI 49508). Attendees will explore Plaster Creek by collecting aquatic macroinvertebrates with waders and nets, investigating water chemistry, and much more! You will gain new perspectives on the Great Lakes and plenty of resources and ideas to take home or to your classroom.

WMEAC 2024 annual MEETing

WMEAC will be at the Center for Community Transformation to share our work and successes over the past year. Registration is now closed but please join us on our virtual livestream that will begin at 6:30pm if you have not registered. We hope to see you there either in person or online!
